This presentation will discuss the first steps the McGill Libraries have taken to develop their digital preservation strategy, including the development of the digital asset register, its components, the collaborative work behind this exercise, and the way this register will be used going forward as a strategic and operational tool.
Cette présentation abordera les premières étapes entreprises par les Bibliothèques de l’Université McGill pour élaborer leur stratégie de préservation numérique, notamment la création d’un registre des actifs numériques, ses composantes, le travail collaboratif ayant mené à sa réalisation et la manière dont ce registre sera utilisé à l’avenir comme outil stratégique et opérationnel.

Alisa B. Rod is the Research Data Management Specialist at the McGill Libraries. Her research interests focus on the human/labor/professional expertise foundational to data curation, digital preservation, and data archiving.
